Levin is NOT calling for the GOP Senators to filibuster the Obama nominees. He wants the confirmation process to proceed. The problem is that Obama is appointing them by executive fiat (think all the Czars) without the consent of the Senate.

RE :”Levin is NOT calling for the GOP Senators to filibuster the Obama nominees”

In both cases I am referring specifically to GWB+Os judicial nominees and the Senate filibuster.

In 2005 to 2006 he called that filibuster unconstitutional and its complete repeal the constitutional option.(on 51 votes yet)
Then a few years later he called for Senate Rs to filibuster both Os SCOTUSes.

It showed he tries to cloak his partition political motives (which we all have) in the standard Levin holier than thou ‘my arguments all come directly from the constitution’ costume.

Hey, in that business its what works with loyal listeners and I am sure his listeners imagine themselves as this nations Founders when he tells them what they want to hear.
