Hillary On Not Doing Sunday Shows After Benghazi Attack: ‘There Are Other Things I Prefer To Do on Sunday Mornings’ January 23, 2013 By Elizabeth Harrington
(CNSNews.com) – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the reason that Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice went on five Sunday morning television shows in her place following the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya was because “there are other things that I prefer to do on Sunday mornings.”
Five days following the terrorist attacks on the Benghazi compound, Rice insisted on five separate TV talk shows that the attack sprang from a protest over an obscure anti-Muslim video posted on YouTube, even though the CIA in Libya told Washington within 24 hours that militants were responsible for the attack.
During Clinton’s appearance before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) asked her why it was that Rice went in her stead.
“Since you managed the response to the Benghazi attacks, why weren’t you the person to appear on the Sunday shows following the attack?” he said. “Ambassador Susan Rice said that you declined. Was that correct?”
“Well, I have to confess here in public, going on the Sunday shows is not my favorite thing to do,” Clinton said. “There are other things that I prefer to do on Sunday mornings.”

I cannot believe the Republicans on the House committee are giving HRC a pass on Benghazi. I expected the praise and posturing from the Democrats, but I heard very few tough questions from the Republicans on this matter.
Hillary played them like they weren’t even in the room. Her arrogance was startling. She kept going back to the unclassified ARB report as if that were gospel. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know the report was crafted to place blame on her subordinates and leave Hill and Obama clear of culpability.
She even threw Patreaus under the bus when she answered a question about the annex. I hope this isn’t over. This woman and the rest of the lying administration deserve to do some jail time.
Frankly, if this is the best we can do for tough questions, we may as well have let Chrissy Matthews handle the investigation. Thoroughly disgusted with the Pubbies.
If the people who run the Sunday shows weren’t so stupid they know Hillary dissed them big time.
But Hillary’s right, there are better things to do on a Sunday morning than watch these preposterous B.S. Fests.

The White House is disavowing a statement from their own Cairo embassy that apologized for anti-Muslim activity in the United States.
“The statement by Embassy Cairo was not cleared by Washington and does not reflect the views of the United States government,” a senior administration official told POLITICO…
“Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet. The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear: There is never any justification for violent acts of this kind,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a Tuesday statement.
