Didn’t the British confiscate the colonists’ armory supplies? And then cut off importation of gun powder in the leadup to the Revolutionary War? What do the Democrats have planned for us?

Yes. The British began moving to secure "The King's Powder" in 1774. The Colonists obviously didn't agree that it belonged to the King and claimed it belonged to the militia. Colonists in several colonies moved their powder out of the King's storage and away from the coast. Google "Powder Alarms".
