My Dad used to say snow was invented in Syracuse. He was appalled by what constituted a ‘snow emergency’ when I was growing up in Connecticut. He told me he ‘understood’ when I moved to SoCal. You folks are better people than me ;)

LOL. First real blizzard I recall was in Fayetteville outside Syracuse Jan ‘66 — over 6 feet in a day and a half. Most snow I ever saw — until I began going to the Sierras on ski trips.
