No need for neologisms.
Foe those who can:
lol.
Did anyone catch Cruz and Schrumer on NBC? I was at church so missed all the morning shows.....did they discuss gun control....???
The only thing, PaleoBob, is that the wheels of change grind slowly, and as the communist state slowly loses control a lot of people will pay with their lives. I see a vision of the future where they try to stamp us outfail to completelybut suceed to kill way too many before its all over.
When Greece happens here it will be far worse, and theyll strike out hard, blaming the Right for the troubles.
What the Court has historically done regarding constitutional review of legislation is say well IF you would have enacted it as a “tax” then we could accept that, but you did not do so, so we must strike it down. You are welcome to go back and see if you can get the votes to pass it as a “tax”.
Of course we all know that would not be a successful errand.
The Court (i.e. CJ Roberts) simply gave them all the goodies in one dose, slicing across huge chunks of legal precedent and procedure just to get Obama of their spineless backs.
Really interesting post Bob. I can see much of what you assert already in the making. 60% of all cigarettes smoked in New York are contraband. And, NY is the center of liberalism!!Its happening.
I think a lot of young and other people are liberal because it’s trendy to be one.
When push comes to shove, I think they’ll wooze out completely.
It will come down to our hard core versus theirs. That’s why they want to disarm us. As long as we stay armed, they lose.
Pathetic little thread you got here!
Only 50?
I feel like the wicked witch—I’m melting! What a world, what a world! LoL!
Been out of pocket today. Have we ever had a Sunday Morning thread with only 50 replies?
Another weird phenomenon is how ALL the Liberals and Dems fall into lock step on every cockamamie idea and cause.
There used to be some “diversity” in Dem side, a so-called coalition of labor, poor, minorities, etc. However, they have come to expect and enforce (Chicago style) everyone has to be cool with not just Gay lifestyle but also Gay, Transgender, Bi etc. Marriage, Abortion on demnd, anti-gun, anti-red states getting federal disaster aide while NY and NJ get billions of pork for a freakin hurricane, anti-veteran and military personnel, anti-defense, anti NASA (eats up too much welfare $), anti-capitalism and free enterprize system, anti-freedom and individual rights, anti-religion [execept Islam], on and on.
It is Monolithic!
Well Mrs Fish is always good for 50 ala Kevin Durant, and we’ve seen neither hide nor hair of her today.
Take a listen to Mark Levin a couple of days if you think America is working within the original Consitution. And for enforcing laws - AZ immigration invasion, DOMA, 1994 Welfare reform requiring work, the list is longer but I have made my point about the FED GUBMINT.
I agree that some liberals are so, because it is trendy. But with the media pushing the liberal agenda, the recent elections, and now the lack of any Republican/Conservative leadership, more of them are becoming hardcore.
We have noone (or very few) fighting them on the messaging game. I see Ted Cruz was on this am and will listen to the video of him with Schumer. He has been good so far.
You are correct about staying armed. The one thing this whole gun “debate” did was make me take a deeper look at the issue. Silly libs made me harden my position with their overreach. I doubt I’m alone.
Watching a replay of NBC Schumer vs. Cruz - Schumer seems fairly confident that both dems and Repubs will come together on this gun debate issue to pass something. They desperately want a universal background check (including private sales, of course).
Cruz questions the number of sales that avoid the check. Gregory says it is 40%. Cruz doesn’t agree.
Gregory plays a portion of the NRA ad and questions how much the NRA helped its cause. Cruz says people can decide for themselves, but there is a fundamental point of hypocrisy brought out by the ad. Doesn’t think it is constructive what the president is doing - pushing an agenda on gun issues designed to appeal to his partisan political buds.
Three reasons why what the pres is pushing is wrong:
1. would have done nothing to prevent crime in Newtown
2.not constitutional
3.they don’t work
Schummer says dems should accept Heller, but people shouldn’t be allowed to own an AR15- nothing to do with constitutionality.
Cruz was pretty good in this round, IMO.
I figure the low remark count is due to the Sunday talkies being void of newsworthy content. There isn't anything to discuss.
MTP, Ted Cruz responds to comments Colin Powell made about race and politics on the previous Sunday’s MTP. Cruz says even though he respects his service, he was disappointed in Powell’s comments. Cruz says the most racialy divisive comment of the entire election was VP Biden’s comments that if the Repub’s win “they will put y’all back in chains.” Said his heart wept hearing those comment, especially from the VP.
YEEESSSSSSS.....thank you, Sen. Cruz.
