Sometimes, any exposed skin will freeze within seconds here. I've watched water freeze on the ground within a few seconds during some of the calmer nights. It crackles. I've seen 80+ mph winds spraying ice at around minus 10-20 degrees, F., 100+ mph winds at around 0.

This year, nearly no snow all winter. It's been dry as a bone for a long time. Through April (see map), and likely next summer (IMO), have fun. Enjoy the slide. I'll be preparing to cover my eyes and face for the sandstorms and holding off on getting yaks until the next year.

That makes -10F and calm seem rather balmy.

I did hurry on washing the hair though. I do like indoor plumbing, now that I'm back in civilization.

I've got recipes for yak, if you need them, including a nice yak cheese, if you decide to milk them.

Ever consider moving south?

Thanks. That's an interesting map.

I've read some say that we are entering a 100 year drought period, all a natural cycle.

I notice my usually very wet area (Mobile) is in the yellow on that map.
