BTW, what’s this about the “River Raisin’?”

The River Raisin is the northern war of 1812 version of the Alamo. It was a massacre of Americans that spurred revenge that led to America seizing control of the great lakes from british forces in Canada. It effectively set the border between Canada and the USA in this part of the country.

Something like 9 Kentucky counties are named after men who fought here.
