Too bad about the festering boil known as Detroit. ;-)
Actually there is a lot of corporate land buying going on in Detroit including a serious move to buy Belle Isle to turn it into a tax free territory for corporations buying up the land on both shores of the river.
Detroit is no more Michigan than Austin is Texas.
