That’s an NFA item. Add another $200 plus paperwork and more waiting.
I love Clay Guida !
It’s just the upper that goes on an AR. No FFL needed.
Clay Guida somes like Navajo cheese
He’s one bad arse MF. I like the wrestlers.
Okay; both are on my list to look for. I’m still waiting for my Kimbers’ Crimson Trace Red or Green Laser grips.
bad cheese will do that to ya
lmao
One of my Class III AR-15s has two Tax Stamps: a “short barrel” and “silencer”. The barrel is 12”. It went thru in 2004 and took 4mos. Doesn’t the 11” barrel fall under NFA regs? I thought everything under 14” did.
My response to that would probably kill this thread... so I won’t go there. Heh.
I see it listed on GB as an SBR, so I guess it doesn’t need a Tax Stamp.

It’s a short barrel rifle.
A short barreled rifle is defined in the US Code, Title 18, Part I, Chapter, Sec. 921. as follows...
(8) The term ‘’short-barreled rifle’’ means a rifle having one or more barrels less than sixteen inches in length and any weapon made from a rifle (whether by alteration, modification, or otherwise) if such weapon, as modified, has an overall length of less than twenty-six inches.
Wow, I did not know that. You think the ones on Gunbroker that say no FFL needed are ATF traps? There are several.
Jeeez, I thought FR was slow; that Kimber Store site goes nowhere.
The shortest AR style rifle you can typically get that doesn’t require the tax stamp will have a 14.5 inch barrel with a permanently mounted flash hider to bring the total length to 16 inches.

I see 5 of them on gunbroker, but only 2 appear to be short barrels.
Now I got it. They’re out of what I want: full-size rosewood.
I’m after a Green Laser:

My FFL was supposed to get in a pre-2/1/13-release shipment, and I had 2 reserved. The red laser washes-out in daylight; green holds in bright light. I’d go for red if I had to.
Thanks for both the wonderful interview with Rep. Stockman. Thanks for Ray Charle’s “America The Beautiful.”
