That's very true and I agree.

The confusion is multiplied though when the initial reports came from the Feds. One would think the Fed would not release unverified information.

It is curious though that these weapons in the trunk were discovered early that morning yet they were not removed or secured until later that night.

Vance said they were secured in his mid day press conference....while they were still in the trunk?

Why would they let weapons stay in a trunk of a car all day, is that normal procedure?

I don't know if they knew that was 'his' car until the end of the day. The most obvious thing would be to secure the area, get first aid. Then begin the investigation. Every room had to be cleared. The process can take some time.
