In press conferences that have been held since 12/14, the Connecticut State Police have identified all of the weapons seized from the crime scene at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
"To eliminate any confusion or misinformation, we will again describe and identify the weapons seized at the school crime scene," Connecticut State Police Spokesman Lt J. Paul Vance said Friday, January 18, via a press release.
Seized inside the school were the following: a Bushmaster .223 caliber-- model XM15-E2S rifle with high capacity 30 round clips; a Glock 10 mm handgun; and a Sig-Sauer P226 9mm handgun.
Seized from the suspects car in parking lot was a Izhmash Canta-12 12 gauge Shotgun.
The case remains under investigation.

I wonder if that is what he means here by a 30 round clip -- two 15s taped together.
“Are these real police? I would hate to have them investigate anything.”
Remember, you are not reading the police press release, you are reading the media’s account of that press release.
But she was a gun-toting survivalist/prepper dontcha-know! And he was a home-schooled, mentally ill white male living in a huge ‘American dream house’ away from all other houses and an All-American sleepy town called ‘ANYTOWN’.. Oh wait, make that ‘NEWTOWN’!! You couldn’t write a better script for this one!!!
It was the feds according to news cites.
But that was wrong....and this is right.
Well we can all glean this much, feds don't know the difference between a Saiga 12ga and an AR 15 and according to this press release from the cops in Newtown they don't know the difference between a magazine and a clip.
Instills nothing but confidence in me, anyone got that pictur of Barney Fife? /s
My apologies to the truthers but into Egypt a little rain must fall.
You can be sure they have a list of every spent cartridge found on the school property. They know which firearms were used, but they did not indicate which were used. A bit odd as that additional information would be very informative regarding the ongoing efforts to criminalize self-defense.
“Seized inside the school were the following: a Bushmaster .223 caliber— model XM15-E2S rifle with high capacity 30 round clips”
Um, Mr. College Educated Forensics Idiot, they are referred to as 30 round detachable box MAGAZINES.
I have loaded magazines in an M14 with the stripper clips. Sometimes it was difficult. There is an adapter to load the magazines directly and not use the device on the gun but you have to outsmart it. There is a tap on the clips you need to bend back out of the way before you insert it into the adapter. I would have hated to reload magazines in combat. The M1 Garand at least came with bandoleers with the clips loaded. You had to watch your thumb when inserting them though.
It was standard issue for the FBI, but only briefly. The girls couldn't handle it so they switched to .40 cal.
Yep expected.
What caught my eye is that they're full up with orders until 2015!
“Yes, they do exist, and its a mighty fine weapon. Ive had mine for almost two decades now. Its a fight stopper.”
sigh, 10mm.
I took down many feral pigs with one, back in the day when you could get ACTUAL 10mm ammo. The 10mm is was designed to be the equivalent of the .41 Mag, and when you could get real 10mm (170 grain Norma for example) - it was. Now all you can find is ammo that is loaded basically to .40 levels. If I wasn’t too lazy to hand load, I’d still be shooting mine (SW 1006).
I’ve tried pushing the clips through the guide above the port.
They go in fine but then it takes a mightier man than me to get more than 3 rounds in.
I was looking to save weight but I must have the strength of a newborn baby.
Louder! I cann’t Hearrr you!!!!!!!!!!
“True enough. Not a go to caliber for most folks.”
The 40 S&W is basically a shortened version of it. Most of the PD around here have the 40 S&W Glock. Nice round.
I also noted the date right away and wondered how many other states would be on their no ship list and if they would be permitted to fill the pre-paid shipments to those states...
That’s not so. It’s a grey shotgun case. Take another look:
One person takes the shotgun out of the trunk and then another person reaches in the trunk and removes the grey shotgun case.
