RE :”This is a good idea. Each time it comes up just increase it enough for a couple of month so Obama has to come back over and over begging to borrow more money while never offering to cut a thing. It will keep the focus on the tab the progressive socialists keep running up.”

I wouldnt call it ‘begging’ but it does force him to take time away from whatever his is selling Americans (on TV) to complain about it, demand, and accuse Rs, argue for more debt, etc, and the more often the better.

I would think at some point O demands a larger extension through the 2014 race as he did in 2011, but that is a tougher play for him.

I don't join in on the ritual wailing ("Oh, Boher sold us out again, rats') here because most of these things are so predictible. the whining is just boring now.

I posted the three month idea here myself, not long ago,

If they tried the big stand now (debt for entitlement cuts) there is no doubt they would given in anyway (because they would get all the blame) and by then it would be total humilation and the same standard circular firing squad we saw after the tax deal. It would be Christmas again for Dems and civil war again for Rs.

If they pass the three month extension with any luck O will reject it, as he did the plan B,and the shorter term extension in 2011 , and then House Rs can make him defend that, make him argue that a 3 month is not big enough. That would be a tough sell now.

Rs have to try to win some.
