I think several handguns, including a .22, .380, 9mm, and a .45 so I can get an idea which one I like best. Also maybe a rifle.
This is great that Holder is in the limelight for F&F during the current debate on guns.
Clint’s right: best to HAVE YOUR CCW/CHL, in case you want to carry, as 0scumbag&Co’s probably going to make it *more difficult* to get, state-by-state, if they can. They’re talking about lengthy/costly exams now, every 5yrs here in PA, instead of just auto-renewal. I’m good until mid-2016, but I’d bet that ‘things’ are going to change by then.

From my brief experience in handling several guns yesterday, I think the .380 might be best for me, and I’ll bet I could barely lift your 1911A1! I appreciate any suggestions you, Clint, and the other gun experts here want to make.
.22 is too small and .45 is too big for a gal IMHO.
9mm semi-auto is your best choice but it too may be a little strong for you. The .380 is a little under powered but may be your first choice.
Thank you, carriage-hill; I’m sure you’re right. That’s why I’m buying a gun now. By the way, my instructor says they’re flying off the store walls right now, and it could be a while before I can even get whichever one I decide on! Not to mention the ammo...
Ammo is a real problem right now.
It is getting difficult to even find .22 ammo.

As a fill-in while you’re waiting for handgun/ammunition delivery, you might check out one of the Home Defense pump shotguns.
Nothing fancy (or expensive), ammo’s still realitively available and the only thing I can imagine with more Morale Effect would be a deck gun off a light cruiser.
(Only issue is the kick, which takes some gettin’ used to...Grandma’s got a 12ga pump gun on the back porch that backs her up about three feet per shot.)
