Oh, I think they know exactly what Morsi and the Brotherhood was. The administration has planned this for some time.
1. Destabilize the current dictators around Israel
2. Allow the vacuum to be filled with Islamist Brotherhood types
3. Try to remove the right wing from power in Israel by subverting Israel’s own elections
4. Use the media in the United States to hammer the existing support for Israel
5. Encourage the virulent Israel-hate in Europe to try and force Israel to compromise its security.
6. Use the UN to encourage more world wide condemnation with the abandonment of the U.S. support of Israel in key situations and give tacit approval to Muslim groups’ attacks in Israel.
7. Delay the implementation of weapons systems already purchased.
8. Force Israel to abandon the use of any lethal force on Arab Muslims attacking Jews in Israel- which will encourage greater acts of aggression on Jews in Israel proper.
-When they feel they have built a ‘ring of fire’ around Israel, then they will attempt to coerce the Israeli Jews to abandon existing settlements and force them into or near the original 1967 borders. This includes the abandonment of all claims on Jerusalem, the Golan, any part of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank).
That, at least, is their plan from the start. Fortunately, it hasn’t worked.
