The following is a list, provided by the White House, of executive actions President Obama plans to take to address gun violence.
1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.
2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.

The kiddies, in fact, were there mostly because the state's mandatory school attendance laws said they had to be there.
Maybe Obama would like to UNDO school attendance laws, maybe public schools ~ get the kids out of those prison like structures that were so terribly difficult for them to ESCAPE when attacked.
This is a total fold by Barry. Gun control is a dead issue. There will be NO new gun control that comes through the House and so there will be NO new gun control laws. At least if the Republicans keep the house and/or take the Senate.
He heard the NRA and the quiet call for his impeachment and decided, nothing is the best course of action.
Best course for House is pass a gun bill authorizing armed guards, training, streamlining and nationalizing CCL laws and elimination of ‘gun free zones’.
“Say Doc, how often do you have kinky sex with your wife and your dog? Can I watch? How much money is in your bank account?”
RE: #2.
Could #2 be a set up for fraud charges for not answering truthfully if the doctor asks?
Does the doctor have to report the patients answer to a database?
If Im reading this correctly he’s saying the left is still afraid of the NRA. Time will tell tho...
Tell them, “yeah, I keep an assault weapon in the trunk of my car;” [it’s a paint ball gun]; “ It’s not useful for hunting or personal protection, I only use it to shoot other humans ...”
My wife just went to a new doctor here behind the hemp curtain in California she told me that the doctor gave her a form to fill out that asked all kinds of questions about things such as if she engaged in any extreme sports like scuba diving, motorcycle riding AND if there were any firearms in the house. Being from Georgia you can probably imagine what she told them. Had to find another doc.
Just like abortion....how did that work out for us....
I think that Obama will try to weasel his way out of that by "hinting" to health providers that they better ask anyway.``(c) Protection of Second Amendment Gun Rights.-- ``(1) Wellness and prevention programs.--A wellness and health promotion activity implemented under subsection (a)(1)(D) may not require the disclosure or collection of any information relating to-- ``(A) the presence or storage of a lawfully- possessed firearm or ammunition in the residence or on the property of an individual; or [[Page 124 STAT. 885]] ``(B) the lawful use, possession, or storage of a firearm or ammunition by an individual. ``(2) Limitation on data collection.--None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used for the collection of any information relating to-- ``(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition; ``(B) the lawful use of a firearm or ammunition; or ``(C) the lawful storage of a firearm or ammunition. ``(3) Limitation on databases or data banks.--None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used to maintain records of individual ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition.
The part about forwarding HIPPA-protected data into the background-check system worries me the most. It could lead to a situation where if you've ever seen a psychiatrist for depression, it creates a permanent red flag.
I haven't seen him today but hear he looks bad. Wondering if he got told to stand down on the hard stuff. Anyone with common sense would have seen he was ready to set off a nuclear political storm.

You sound like a buffoon.
Worst. President. Ever.
#16 - Doctors will ask if you have guns in the home.
The whole purpose of this is to vilify gun owners and make them out to be lunatics.
Maybe we could start with asking if people are pedophiles? You know, people who really hurt children?
FUBO!
Too bad regulation number doesn’t apply to Obama. Also, just think about all the veterans who have ever diagnosed with PTSD, will not be allowed to own firearms. The people who fought, and are most likely to defend our nation, can’t legally own a weapon. Ridiculous......
Coincidence? I think not.
(BTW, clicking through the e-mail link for a PMag and their web site still shows it's out of stock despite the proclamation of the e-mail.)
>> He will ask your children about your guns
... and about your mental stability as well.
“Ms. Teengirl, are your father and mother ever in a bad mood? Do they voice feelings of anger directed at you, or the government, or anyone else? I see. Thank you, I made a note. Now tell me about any firearms your parents are keeping in the house...”
The only reason why a doctor needs to know about any firearm ownership is to make sure that you don't bring your gun into the MRI. It's a real bother when the magnets tear a patient's gun from his holster.
