I spent $90 on 100 Sellier & Bellot .22 Hornet 45gr SP 20rds.
That’s the best I could do.
I don’t care what people say, if the SHTF getting shot with a .22 LR is a bad day — At 300 yards, it’s through you. And You can carry 1,000 rounds on you.
If you can find them that is....
I happen to have #50 Winchester 22 Hornet 46 gr for which I don’t have a matching rifle. If you’re interested, $35 + $10 Priority Mail shipping. I am assuming this is legal to sell and ship but would check before doing anything.
Everybody who doesn't already have 10,000 raise your hands. They were quite plentiful the last time there was a general run on ammo.
Save your brass and load your own.
I know several people who were killed with a one shot .22. All it takes is a shot in the heart or the head. And you make a great point about how many rounds you can carry.
“Accidentally” stumbled on some .22 lr yesterday and scooped up around 2k rds. Of course 500 rds had to go to the neighbor because the Packers lost to SF last weekend. I kept the Winchesters, he got the Remingtons. But in general, ammo is hard to find right now. The shop we found them at got them from some lady whose husband had just passed away and she had a lot of brand new ammo in unopened boxes she wanted to get rid of. Lucky me. Third gun shop we had been to looking for ammo.
