Homicide suspect Javonte Higgins tried to hawk items at Wyoming bowling alley

WYOMING, MI -- Javonte Higgins, the 22-year-old suspect in the slayings of an elderly Kentwood couple, was seen trying to hawk items at a Wyoming bowling alley the same day the killings occurred, witnesses say.

Higgins was seen about 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5 at Spectrum Lanes at 5656 Clyde Park Ave. SW.

Mike Marks, co-owner of the business, said he only learned later that Higgins was a person of interest in the killings of David and Vivian Bouwman. At the time, he did not even know Higgins' name.

Police came into the bowling alley on Monday, Jan. 14, apparently after hearing reports that Higgins had been there.

David and Vivian Bouwman, ages 81 and 80, were found shot to death in their Stowevalley Drive SE home the morning of Jan. 5.

Police think they were likely shot in the early morning hours, perhaps 3-4 a.m., during a home invasion.

Like the Straits of Tulsa, the Bouwmans were a long-married white couple, killed by a young black thug.

Does such a murder ever happen with the races reversed? I cannot remember a single one in my lifetime.

The thug in this case had served three years for home invasion and had been re-arrested in September for burglary but not locked up. In December he critically injured himself crashing a car he stole during a home invasion, and walked himself out of the hospital, apparently because the county did not want to pay for a guard and his medical bills.

Home invaders are rape and murder waiting to happen.

Does Michigan still have a death penalty after decades of leftist rule and ruin?

If so, this is the perfect case to have it used or reimposed.

There’s been a rash of this exact crime lately-black “yoots” doing home invasions of older whites, robbing and killing them, sometimes raping the wife (I wonder of any info was left out of this?) There’s never a whole lot of attention paid to this in the MSM, and in this one even less. I wonder if they also notice the pattern but don’t want to make it apparent by giving it the attention they would surely give it if even one crime like this happened with the races reversed, much less a rash of them. Well, I don’t really wonder-I know they would. It would be the second coming of the klan nationwide and all whites would held to blame for the “institutional racism” behind it. But they are awfully close-mouthed when it’s a pattern of blacks preying on whites.
