Horses off the track may have Bute, Salix, and or other medications in their systems when they’re processed.

And some cows have growth hormones, assorted antibiotics in them, whether or not they need them and let's not forget some getting protein in their processed feed from...."recycled cattle" (mad cow disease, anyone?)

None of we used on our livestock(we eat our own product) but we have heard of it being used from less scrupulous farmers and feedlots.

Yep, though I don’t know what kind of damage may result from growth hormones and rest. I know I wouldn’t want to take Bute unless I’d been shot!
