This has absolutely nothing to do with crime.
It has everything to do with disarming the law abiding so the government can seize total control. Then they will decide which of us get to live,and who needs to die. All in the name of what's good for the State.

What is a lawful gun owner?

I think we need to get away from that terminology since anyone who is not committing a crime at the time is by definition lawful.

IMO, opening up the "lawful" meme invites speculation to a "Minority Report" scenario....especially when it comes to "mental health" issues.

Because it has no connection to the crime. It's crass opportunism, standing on the bodies of dead children in pursuit of a long desired power grab.
