It’s like when they were on the anti-SUV kick and the headlines all over the paper went something like this: “SUV Strikes Bus Stop Full of Minority Children”

Heck, I still hear that “SUV” crap all the time on “news” updates: “SUV strikes pedestrian,” “SUV runs through store window,” etc. They almost never mention the type of vehicle if it is a sports car, sedan, station wagon, etc. I suppose once the die is cast, it remains in their vernacular.

From these initial reports, it sounds like this one is just a run of the mill local assault that the media wants to be a national story today.
