None of us will Mouton, but even if they go so far as to confiscate the guns they would never go door to door to get them, no one would be stupid enough except the military and it would take forever to search house by house anyway.

Confiscation will happen like this:

1)They make it illegal to possess a shopping list of guns that are found by the millions.

2)They do nothing but threaten a huge fine and/or jail time if you don’t turn them in.

3)Half the pu... er, owners will capitulate and baa their way to the nearest turn-in center, perhaps getting a tax credit or a small check for being “honest”.

4)From that point on anyone found to have one will be arrested, slapped with a felony (voting rights removed of course) and fined up the ying/yang. No more target practice, ammo, or displaying of you hidden weapons to anyone, fearful that your friends who capitulated will turn you in for a reward that is offered also.

5)They do nothing else but wait.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Basically criminalize anyone who owns a gun & refuses to register or turn it in. Also I would expect that any ammo purchases would then be fed into a database as well, so that it will trigger an investigation into "WHY are you purchasing ammo if you have no guns".

Quite honestly, the bill going forward in NY state right now, will criminalize anyone who does not register their firearms and prohibits the sale or transfer of any so called "assult rifles". To me, that indicates that when the "assult rifle" owner dies, the gun will be required to turn into the NY state gubmint. It will be interesting to see what becomes of this bill and if NY gun owners will refuse to comply.

Unless we have a much needed revolution and solve the problem for another 200 years
