I'm not denying anything you said. But I'm also not willing to just give up because I've been disappointed a few times, and I'm certainly not going to attack the people on my side and cut the legs out from under fellow Patriots as you are. That's exactly what they want and I refuse to play along. The fact that you're so readily willing to do so says a lot about you.
IF you have only been disappointed by the GOP a "few times" there is either something wrong with your knowledge of the GOP or your level of conservatism.
Calling holding self-proclaimed conservative's feet to the fire where their votes and actions are concerned "cutting the legs out from under fellow Patriots" is a gross mis-characterization worthy of the RINOs in our party.
You will either continue to hold their feet to the fire, or they won't act conservative. That's how strong their conservative credentials are as proven by their voting patterns.
If they could, many of those so-called conservatives would and will go along with the Amnesty proposal by Rubio, just like the supposed conservative Paul Ryan has done.
IF they could, and many of those so-called conservatives would and will go along with Gays in the Military, just like Paul Ryan has done.

For years we have been promised that ‘feet would be held to fire’ if only we go along to get along and ‘keep our powder dry for later”.
But when feet get held to fire, people scream.
What? Isn’t this exactly what they wanted? Or was that just supposed to be ‘feel-good’ rhetoric to pacify people into ‘keeping their powder dry” like everything else coming out of the GOP?
When EXACTLY is “LATER”?
Tell me PG, if the supposed conservative base does not have their own feet held to the fire BY THEIR OWN, what in the name of Jesus Christ Crucified makes you think we as conservatives have the ‘right’ to hold anyone else’s ‘feet to the fire’, ESPECIALLY those who are elected to exert our will?
I eagerly await your or anyone else’s answer.
