Mark Levin explains why Obama should be impeached if he acts unilaterally to raise the debt ceiling:
If Obama unilaterally acts and I think theres a fan dance going on here where his spokes-idiot Carney is out there saying no, weve decided were not going to do this if Obama, though, plays the role of Hamlet and in the end says I have not choice, the Republicans are going to destroy our economy, our debt rating, all this that and the other, therefore I must unilaterally act, he should be impeached!
Because that means Congress core power in addition to declaring war Congress core power, that is control over spending and taxing, will have been seized by the president of the United States in one executive order. NO Congress would tolerate this from any president! I dont care if the president was Abraham Lincoln. This Congress would not have tolerated it from Richard Nixon. No Congress can tolerate such a complete and brazen frontal assault on its enumerated power. No Congress! No twisting of the language in the 14th amendment or any way else. Because we will cease to be a federal government of three coequal branches.

TREASON - in real-time, premeditated, unquestioned, unchecked, continuous, ongoing...
>>What I wonder is whether Obama might want that fight because he thinks he can win.<<
Obama does want that fight. He has never backed down from one. And he probably would win. What is Issa doing these days?
I've said it many times. If the SHTF...the media person I want in the foxhole with me is Mark Levin.
Thank you, Mark!
I brought this up in an earlier thread as it happened, didn’t seem to get much traction.
Obama press conference 1/14/13

..snip from transcript..
Chuck Todd, NBC.
QUESTION: Thank you, sir. As you know, Senate Democrats — Harry Reid sent you a letter begging you, essentially, to take — consider some sort of executive action on this debt ceiling issue. I know you’ve said you’re not negotiating on it. Your administration has ruled out the various ideas that have been out there, the 14th Amendment, but just this morning, House — one of the House Democratic leaders, Jim Clyburn, asked you to use the 14th Amendment and even said sometimes that’s what it takes. He brought up the Emancipation Proclamation as saying they took executive action when Congress wouldn’t act, and he compared the debt ceiling to that. So are you considering a Plan B? And if not, why not?
OBAMA: Well, Chuck, the issue here is whether or not America pays its bills. We are not a deadbeat nation. And so there’s a very simple solution to this: Congress authorizes us to pay our bills.
Now, if the House and the Senate want to give me the authority so that they don’t have to take these tough votes, if they want to put the responsibility on me to raise the debt ceiling, I’m happy to take it. Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader in the Senate, had a proposal like that last year. And I’m happy to accept it.
But if they want to keep this responsibility, then they need to go ahead and get it done. And, you know, there are no magic tricks here. There are no loopholes. There are no, you know, easy outs. This is a matter of Congress authorizes spending. They order me to spend. They tell me, you need to fund our Defense Department at such- and-such a level, you need to send out Social Security checks, you need to make sure that you are paying to care for our veterans. They lay all this out for me, and — because they have the spending power. And so I am required by law to go ahead and pay these bills.

Well, at minimum, they probably want Republicans to think he wants the fight. My guess is the Obama administration won't want to take the gamble this time around, and they figure they can roll the Republicans anyway.
The real problem I think is that we can no longer count on some 'silent majority' of Americans to rise up and put the brakes on this administration if they do go to far. I think what passes for the American public these days has no idea what free markets are, what's in the Constitution, what made American great, etc. As I mentioned in another thread, I think conservatives need to be ready to be appalled at some of the stuff the American public will support going forward.
I look at the demographic changes and voting patterns and think, in the long term at least, we might just be in more trouble than some of these European countries.
Unfortunately in this country freebies trumped freedom..as long as you have the moochers getting their freebies the Dems will always have an advantage
I posted 0bama’s comments “in context” and the full transcript of today’s presser.
This President, with the backing of many house and senate members and ALL of the media, has taken a position that if Congress doesn’t act the way HE wants, HE will TAKE the authority from them. As if it is something HE has bestowed on them, and since they are being irresponsible, he will assume this power, reluctantly, to do the right thing.
This takes huge B**ls
But there seems no one that will call him on it.
Yhello, Yhello, Yhello!
One a side note, My comments as well as other anti-0bama comments that were posted on youtube regarding this presser, have been removed due to “too many negative votes”

It's not so much that people won't call him out, some do. The real problem is that Obama's approval ratings are high and the folks that know how bad Hussein is don't get near enough public support.
A lot of people here and in other conservative circles are furious that the House Republican majority isn't tougher on him, but keep in mind that 1.3 million more people actually voted for a Democrat House than a GOP one. Republicans only retained it due to skilled gerrymandering.
I think this all goes back to what passes for the American public now. Yes, leadership on our side is lacking - but it doesn't help that a near majority of the public feed from the government teet, pay no federal taxes, and generally couldn't care less what happens to this country as long as they can keep voting themselves someone else's money.
It’s one thing for conservatives in conservative circles to call this President out for his attempts to usurp the constitution. We do it very well.
But no one ELSE seems to care.
We represent the party of George Bush, and by default are war-mongering, big oil loving, uncaring spokesman for the rich.
I have said this many times:
It’s not the MESSAGE.
It’s the MESSENGER !!!!!
Is the American People corrupt and Congress only partially corrupt?..
Only a corrupt people would/could elect the corrupt people that’s in Washington D.C....
Over and over again.. proudly and with gusto.. enriching and guarding them from exposure..
Seems most americans are addicted to something (doped)..
With some the dope might be a federal check.. or job.. grant.. or contract..
They call dope, dope for a reason..
What kills me is, no one is friended on it, SO HOW WOULD FB KNOW WHAT'S ON IT UNLESS THEY ARE MONITORING IT!?!?!? No one can report abuse because it's not open to anyone but friends. Since it has no friends, yet, no one should be complaining.
I created this FB account for the sole purpose of seeing how long it would take FB to do this. Only 2 days. Wow, government censorship at work!
Its the MESSENGER !!!!!
I think it's the message too. It's both things. In order to break the mold conservatives are cast in we are going to have unify around a few big messages. I am not a fan of Ron Paul because of his isolationist positions, but his Liberty Movement is a big thing that breaks through to audiences that otherwise won't listen to a thing conservatives/libertarians have to say. I am not saying we should adopt Ron Paul's platform (I don't support it myself), I'm just using it as an example. The media really struggle to demonize Paul because he's generally intellectually consistent and stands for something that's easy to understand - liberty and freedom from government at all levels.
We're probably going to have to learn how to demagogue better and play some of the games the left does. I hate to say it but class warfare and identity politics works. If we can't counter it, then we are going to have to have our own version of it (instead of avoiding the subject of dependence, maybe start demonizing government for having forced so many to rely on it). The Republican party is going to have to be the vehicle since 3rd party's really don't work here, but it needs to become almost revolutionary in order to break out of the current losing dynamics it is stuck in. We need to think of this political struggle as a war, not a pleasant disagreement at the yacht club. At the same time though we need to put our best face forward. If we start yelling and screaming and sounding deranged, the public won't listen to anything we have to say.
Imagine that....LOL !!
Very interesting about your facebook page. You can bet many eyes are watching the facebook pages.
Zero won’t act unilaterally because the Republicans will cave.
He’ll do it. I doubt that the House will move to impeach him though.
