There should be plenty of AR’s laying around from lead expired oath breakers in the security forces when the SHTF. Or check the several auction gun sites. Another consideration is a larger caliber bolt action rifle and quality scope and get beyond range of someone with an AR.
The Ruger Scout is on my list of guns to buy this year.
I figure if I cannot buy the semi-autos I want (at the moment bc of backorders) I will buy those I can and purchase the others when the panic dies down.
I really wanted an FN 5.7 and an AR in .308 (Eugene Stoner’s original design) but we will see if I am ever able get those.
