... Oracle Corp just announced an update (Version 7 Update 11 )that fixes the security problem.
Download and install the latest JAVA version from here (http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp)

Word of caution ... even though Oracle Corp says JAVA 7 Version 11 is now safe, some "expert" says it's not 100% safe ...I guess it may still be better to wait until this gets thoroughly sorted out.
