I was awake during part of the 20th Century. Digging large holes at gunpoint and kneeling near them always seems to result in the same thing.

Be damned if I'll dig my own grave or hold still for a bullet to the back of the head.

Someone wants to kill me, they can dig the grave, and then figure out how to put me in it.

I don't expect to be cooperative.

My kids are grown and gone. I've met my grandkids (some of them are ok).

I had a very close brush with death in 2009... close enough that the kids pulled down my coffin from the storage spot in the barn and took the antennas out of it....

Death holds no particular fear for me. My eternal salvation is assured.

Kind of funny in a way,
it’s not the young they have to fear,
