There is only one criteria that I use to decide if I vote for someone. If Hannity or Coulter praises him, I don’t vote for him.

There are many people here on FR will only support non-Whites who declare themselves to be Republican... (And their true politics are unimportant)

What a bs slander of your fellow Freepers. I've never once seen what you're talking about, here.

Sarah Palin, the space looks bigger, and bigger the longer you wait.

We need her to hold tight until 2016. I don't want to see our best quarterback wasted on a lineman position.

I would urge Conservative Floridians, not to write Rubio off, but rather have the frank talk with him that is suggested in the article.

If you're suggesting that conservatives need to sit down with Rubio and school him on the basics, then he's not worth speaking to in the first place. No real conservative needs to be converted. It's already in their bones.

It seems like even the RINO's are coming out after the election.

It's ok, come election time he'll a full blown Conservative again.

Why do they always say ‘pay back taxes’ ?

If they are illegal then they had no reported income.
And what if back taxes = getting tax credits?

I agree with you that Rubio is right. We need immigration reform NOW,and Rubio is leading the “other side”, that would be you and me, with some great ideas on how we can do it.

oboma thinks he has cornered the market on the hispanic vote...and to that I say bullcrap. New citizens interested in adhering to the new immigration reform rules such as Rubio has suggested, who want to become contributing, educated, working citizens of the USA, who are family oriented by culture and church-going Christians, are OK in my book...that is what this low-information, knuckle-dragging, godless, immoral/negative/lazy/gime-gime culture-infested country of ours needs.

You can't undo what has already happened by simply demanding that all illegals be rounded up and shipped back home. We CAN garner the attention and vote of the hispanic who wants to do the right thing (I have heard it said often that many regret having to come into the USA illegally, and would like to become a citizen through proper channels) and go through the steps, as outlined by Rubio, for instance, and become a citizen of this country...the country they escaped to for refuge and an opportunity. The socialist-marxist-communist OBOMA is pushing very hard to become the “salvation” of the hispanic....beat him at his own game by coming up with a real solution, as outlined by Rubio, for instance, and turn this into a win-win for future citizens and we who are citizens.

Nope Quisling is a better word for you. Why do you shame Palin with your name?

That’s because the GOP is not winning the minority vote.

Sara, like Rubio and myself, believes in a pathway to legalization. Look up her interview with Bill O’Reilly if you don’t believe me.

Marco Rubio, Florida's GOP senator, unveils his reform ideas to 'modernize' the system and put illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship.

That’s a line in the sand issue for me.

As well I. Immigration is just one of about five core conservative issues where I WILL NOT compromise. End of story

Actually as soon as Rubio started to become a national figure I started studying his background. He makes nice speeches but he at his core is still an aspiring RINO at heart. Beware of his silvery forked tongue.

First of all, what makes you think that all illegal immigrants are hispanic? That is a tad racist all by itself.
Every sincle one of the 9/11 hujackers were here illegally. Gorget about that? I haven’t/ And how many more have arrived since then?
Get off your holier than thou ravings and use some common sense.

From Palin haters:

LARS: The amnesty proposal that was defeated in Congress — in your view, was that amnesty for illegals and would you back amnesty for a path to citizenship, as the current president calls it?

SARAH PALIN: No, I’m not for amnesty. Let’s ratchet this down quite simply to remember what we’re referring to. Illegal aliens are called “illegal” for a reason. We need to secure our borders and I am not for amnesty. And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.

Sarah Palin Tells Bill O’Reilly What She Would Do About Immigration As ‘President Palin’
July 14, 2010
Last Friday, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly asked former Gov. Sarah Palin? (R-AK) what she would do about immigration if she ever became “President Palin.” Palin informed O’Reilly that she would do “whatever it takes” to secure the border, including “militarizing” the border with 10,000-15,000 National Guard troops and building a wall. However, Palin seemed less confident about what to do about the millions of undocumented immigrants already living in the U.S. She proposed requiring undocumented immigrations to register with the federal government in order to legally work in the United States — a step that would actually be part of comprehensive immigration reform:

O’REILLY: Now we have 12 million people staring at you. [...] Are you going to deport them, what are you going to do? [...]

PALIN: You’re not gonna give them a free pass. You’re not gonna say, ‘okay you and anyone else who wants scurry across this porous border between now and when we do finally get it fenced in and physically secured — we’re gonna give you a free pass.’

O’REILLY: So no amnesty?

PALIN: No amnesty! [...] Do we make them register with the federal government? Yes! [...] Let’s keep it simple and let’s say ‘no, if you were here illegally and if you don’t follow the steps that at some point through immigration reform we’re gonna be able to provide — and that is somehow to allow you to work — if you don’t do that, then you’re gonna be gone.’

NumbersUSA Fail in evaluating Sarah Palin

Whoever did the evaluation on Sarah Palin got it wrong at NumbersUSA. I compared their conclusions with what was said in the Gov. Palin interview with Bill O’Reilly, 12 July 2010.

NumbersUSA: “Despite saying she opposes ‘amnesty,’ Gov. Palin has very publicly described her preference for giving legal status to masses of illegal aliens.”

There are no references to back up what NumbersUSA say Palin said. Where exactly has Palin made such a statement?

NumbersUSA: “Gov. Palin has said she opposes amnesty and there should be ‘no free passes’ for illegal aliens. However, she seems to define amnesty like most supporters of legalization of illegal aliens.

Source: Gov. Palin interview with Bill O’Reilly, 12 July 2010.

Here NumbersUSA refuse Palin’s words “no free passes” and insert what they want to portray her as “seeming” to be like other amnesty supporters.

NumbersUSA: “Palin has outlined a pathway to legalization where illegal aliens have 60 days to register with the government (those that fail to register should be deported).

Palin does not have a clear idea of what to do once illegal aliens have registered, but if illegal aliens do not follow the path to legalization, they should be deported.

Source: Gov. Palin interview with Bill O’Reilly, 12 July 2010.

The above statement is false. At 1:35 O’Reilly makes an hypothetical statement, “Do you tell them they have 60 days to get outta here?” Palin did not make an outline of 60 days.

NumbersUSA: “Gov. Palin has made it clear that the United States needs a steady flow of immigrants in order for our economy to function.

Source: Gov. Palin interview with Bill O’Reilly, 12 July 2010.

I don’t see how Numbers can make this statement. I can’t find Palin saying anything about supporting a steady flow of immigrants anywhere in the interview.

After reading Numbers USA evaluation, I can’t find NumbersUSA to be a credible source. Until these errors are corrected, NumbersUSA grades an F.
