NBC’s David Gregory is off the hook for showing a high-capacity gun magazine on “Meet the Press” and will not be prosecuted, D.C.’s attorney general announced on Friday.
D.C. attorney general Irvin Nathan on Friday said he would decline to prosecute in the case involving the Sunday show host and any NBC staffers. In a letter to NBC’s attorney Lee Levine, Nathan wrote that after reviewing the matter, his office “has determined to exercise its prosecutorial discretion to decline to bring criminal charges against Mr. Gregory, who has no criminal record, or any other NBC employee based on the events associated” with the broadcast.

The next person with no criminal record prosecuted for a 30 round magazine has a nice civil rights/equal protection lawsuit waiting.

I think I remember reading about an ex marine traveling with with the same thing being prosecuted. He claims he didn’t even know the law. How is that fair?

I have using my 1st amendment rights to let people know how I feel about a multitude of subjects. I have always been law abiding. My 30 round magazines have never been used for anything except to educate those I love on the beauty of the 2nd amendment. My magazines are not illegal in my state. When the jackboots come, do I have a Gregory exemption?
