I think school districts should make the decision if they want police or private security, if they want armed teachers, etc. I think arming teachers should be on a volunteer basis. It’s got to be people who will use the gun if necessary. Not everybody is suited for that.
Personally I can’t think of better security personnel than janitors. They’re generally unobtrusive and they know their way around the school without being tied to one spot.
