Agreed. Simply allowing staff to be armed and removing the signs that announce free fire zones is really all you can ever do.

The simple fact is that there is not a crazed gunman hiding in the bushes outside every school in America. Where I went to school there are nearly 30 exits. Better to leave a potential gunman guessing.

I remember some 20+ years back, a local pizza place being the frequent target of holdups. The holdups abruptly halted when every staff member started wearing a shoulder holster and firearm.
Arming the staff is the very best deterrent.
