I hope the Jags enjoy covering up thousands and thousands of seats again. Jacksonville is a bad place for an NFL team. The city is terribly spread out, it’s a huge Navy town(allegiances to other teams), and people care about college football more than the NFL.

How many blackouts did the Jags have last year? Answer ZERO. How many other franchises, in Florida, had TV blackouts? Both of them.

The Jags play in a larger venue than most teams. You are right, this is a college sports town. That is the reason the stadium seats as many as it does, because of the Gator Bowl (which was not near a sell out this year either).

I don’t think the Jags are going to LA, perhaps there was a clause in the sales agreement which ties them here. I don’t know that for sure. LA could not even support the Rams or the Raiders when they had them there. If a team does go there, it will be Buffalo when Wilson gives up or perhaps San Diego IMO.

As far as Tebow goes and Caldwell’s comment, I suspect he would get nailed with a tampering charge if he said they were interested in getting him here. Tebow is under contract with the Jets. They are not going to cut him lose till they extort a draft pick from someone. Will he ever be a great NFL QB, probably not but he is serviceable. The pagans of the world hate this guy so whatever the press says about him I take with a grain of salt...he looks qualified to play to me.
