Usually I am immune to this
But those comments were way out of place
in the BCS Bowl Broadcast, on National TV

I cringed when I heard them.

I did not watch this particular game but I have a cure. For the last several years when I have watched a football game I have muted the sound and just watched the game. It made the experience a whole lot better. I got tired of the constant fawning or outright arm chairing done by the likes of Collingsworth and the other color guys. He forgets he never played on a championship team but to hear him you’d think he was Roger Staubach or Lynn Swann. Aikman has gotten better over the years and is tolerable but I just watch in silence and talk to the family while it is on.

HOWRVER, no one seems to care that the cameramen repeatedly scan the crowds for pretty women to zoom in on, nor that they zoom in on cheerleaders, nor the fact that we have CHEERLEADERS wearing the tightest and shortest UNIFORMS imaginable.

One must ask, who do we have cheerleaders at ADULT FOOTBALL (pro) games ?

I get it for JR. High, Sr. High, and College, as this gives the females a way to participate.

So WHY do pro football teams have cheerleaders ?
