The NRA could also print in ads and their publications the various legal approaches including how to litigate against the federal regs when they come down. Law suits from a million or so members in local, state and federal courts as persons of interest being denied rights protected by the Constitution would have to be dealt with.
Seems to me a rich and peaceful environment for gun owners to be more than passive victims.
