All doors were locked automatically at 9:15.
At 9:30 the front glass was shot out. The school office is right there as you come in the front door so as the principal walked out of her office she would have been face to face with Lanza. At about that time 911 calls were made.
3-5 minutes after the first 911 call came in the police were on the scene and the shooting ended.
At 9:40 police and SWAT teams can be seen from news copters already swarming around the building.
It started and ended in a mere 5 minutes.
The only thing that would have helped is if someone had had a weapon and kept him pinned down and busy for those 5 minutes until the police arrived.
you know, that was my first thought too... as a nurse, isn’t she vtrained in first aid to help people?
when she sat there cowering in a closet, feeling so helpless did she wish she had a gun of her own? or that someone else on premises did?
The secretary she mentions needs to also come forward and collaborate her story. A possibility, however unlikely, is she could have played a part in the massacre - just sayin' it needs investigating.
Further, "There is video of her being escorted from the school 4 hours after everyone else.."
Four hours sounds a little long, especially after she claims being brave enough to go peak out a window.
A nurse would have strong urgings to go to aid of her charges ASAP, after immediate danger to her personal being subsided.
It smells...
Oh, you'll find all that with the information and pictures regarding the murder of bin Laden.
They can't focus on what was wrong about him because it will undermine their entire philosophy going all the way back to The Community Mental Health Act of 1963 (CMHA). Instead, they let the mentally ill roam at will within the general population with no regard to the myriad problems that result.
When I have time I must look up a recent article that said either Obama's Dept of Just Us or NY State decided to discontinue a certain class of group homes for mentally ill patients because those homes required that the patients stay on their meds. WTF???
> “She chose to continue to cower in the closet.” <<
.
That’s what lefties do. - The only time they’re bold is when stealing your money or your rights.
Gun control is entirely ineffective in preventing another such incident; the steps being taken in New York are almost certain to ENSURE another such incident. With the re-election of Obama we have truly put the lunatics in charge of the asylum called the United States of America.
>> “Popping doesnt sound like an AR-15 going off. More like a .22 pistol” <<
.
No kidding. My head hurts for hours after shooting the .357, even with the muffs.
I don’t know anyone that would describe it as a “pop.”
“It started and ended in a mere 5 minutes.”
From the CNN Website:
Police and other first responders arrived on scene about 20 minutes after the first calls.
Police report that no law enforcement officers discharged their weapons at any point.
The gunman took his own life, police said. He took out a handgun and shot himself in a classroom as law enforcement officers approached, officials said.

Did an officer actually see this, or is this just another bit of false information being disseminated? Let's see video identifing officers, describing exactly what they encountered when they entered the building.
When seconds count, police are only minutes away.

Wiki has the first shot at 9:35 and the last one at 9:46-49 — 11 to 14 minutes. Police were dispatched to the school at 9:35.

News copter video shows police swarming the building at 9:40.
I’m not sure who to believe on the timeline, or whether the police immediately entered the school or staged outside for several minutes, but here is an alternate view of the timeline from what you have, that shows about 10 - 11 minutes from first call to engage from PD:
9:30:00 AM: Classes begin at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
9:35:53 AM: First known dispatch call - 911 Dispatch: “Sandy Hook School, Caller’s indicated she thinks someone is shooting in the building.”
9:36:15 AM: Shooting continues - Dispatch: “The individual I have on the phone is continuing to hear what he believes to be gun shots.”
9:38:10 AM: Pause in shooting - “The shooting appears to have stopped. The school is in lock down.”
9:38:50 AM: Police call for SWAT team - “We’ll stage up the SWAT and go from there.”
9:40:30 AM: Reports of shots fired - “Shooter’s apparently still shooting in office area. Dickerson Drive.”
9:40:55 AM: Connecticut State Police receive call and begin sending emergency units from western part of the state - “Troop 8 personnel, take Exit 10, left on 34, turn on Riverside Drive. Make sure you have your vests on.”
9:43:45 AM: Female confirmed shot - Dispatch: “We have one female in Room 1 who has gunshot wound to the foot.”
~9:45 AM: First responders/SWAT team arrive - begin an “active shooter search, checking every door, crack and crevice.”
9:46:20 AM: Another report of person shot - Dispatch: “We’ve got an injured person in Room 9 with numerous gunshot wounds.”
9:49:05 AM: Shooting finally stops approximately around 9:46 AM - “Negative on description. Shots were fired about three minutes ago.”
9:53:25 AM: Suspect reported down - “Newtown’s reporting one suspect down. The Building has now been cleared.”
9:55:25 AM: Weapons report - “Be advised, we have multiple weapons. One rifle and a shotgun.”
9:57:25 AM: Police notice to officers responding to call in plain clothes - “Any plain clothes responding, make sure you have you raid gear on, your raid gear on.”
10:00:15 AM: Police complete search for any other potential suspects - “Ask the custodian, get a team up on the roof and clear the roof.”
I just cant see how any medical professional could ignore the potential to save lives.

School Nurses don’t want any trouble....that’s why they are there. They don’t make any money but then they don’t really have to do anything....usually. That day was different and she failed. Which is why she was a school Nurse to begin with.
Okay I found it:
Note who is saying all this stuff that turns out to not be true: the bimbo reporter with Channel 9 News [in the LL Bean jacket] — not the nurse.
In extreme stress, it can indeed pop rather than boom. On the range it might still be deafening. Likewise, a shooter running a 12 gauge recoil might feel like a 22. Stress of places like that reduces what you take in.
Likewise, the 357 that beats you up on the range will barely be noticed when you are shooting it for keeps. Kinda cool really. Works that way for many many people.
9:55:25 AM: Weapons report - Be advised, we have multiple weapons. One rifle and a shotgun.
I thought the SAME THING. If they had the shooter down, and he was using the rifle and wearing two pistols...why didn’t they mention the pistols? Also, I thought it took them a while (don’t know how long) before they discovered the shotgun in the car. WEIRD
Good Lord!
I am SO glad I had that talk with the teachers at the schools where my Sons go when school started this week.
Informing them that I will be volunteering to guard on my days off.
Needless to say, they were extremely grateful.
(And I know I’m not alone in this duty)
