Don't let that discourage you.

I have written to my statehouse rep. and senator, and to my U.S. Congress rep. and senators.

Anywhere and everywhere that you can do anything, particularly in some letter, does matter. All and any practices in defense of our liberty, including your presence, matters.

The leftists are relying upon the same processes they used to discourage people during the elections, to discourage people now.

It's *hard* to write well. I've spent hours into the night, many days of each week, studying up on important historical details about the construction of the Second Amendment - how it was formed, step by step - and finally managed to write letters that I believe concisely incorporate the basics of the Amendment's construction and purpose, in addition to getting across our determination to not give up our rights.

Most of us are a bit stunned by the arrogance and intimidation --- the belittling attacks --- from the leftists, in debate. Conservatives are too often stumped by the left, and the left *relies upon that - they expect it.* Resist them, as they try to rack up points - make them not feel so great about their assault on liberty.

You may retreat a little, but then turning about and expressing yourself well ... then, the overly-self-important egos of the left *are affected by that.* Help their knees to go wobbly.

Even if all you write is:

Explanations are plentiful throughout history, Why the people must retain a balance of military power un-infringed by government. You'd be right, by suggesting that General Washington would insist that such power be responsibly handled, and it is, by the organized militia, in addition to the many tens of millions of Americans, individuals who also do their duty to practice safe weapons handling, maintenance, and storage.

Yet now comes government, hysterically - repeat *that* - insisting that many tens of million of law-abiding Americans are at fault ... when in fact we are not at fault for what happened in Newtown. The last government to assert that fault lay with, and blamed tens of millions of people, continued with gun control programs that allowed what is inherently a wrong about the nature of government, to destroy a million times Newtown.

I respectfully request that you do what you can to get the national government to step back from the abyss and instead have the state goverrnment focus upon the problem of defending schools, before some foreign agent figures out the meaning of gun-free zones.

Then please do so; and send it to *all* your elected officials at your statehouse and in the Congress.

Thank you.

I have a suggestion for getting it all down to six words:

George Washington disagreed with gun control.
