Politicians of both parties probably laugh when they see us up in arms over the issue du jour. They will only begin to represent us when we the people edemonstrate to them that we WILL protect and defend the Constitution if they won’t. Action is what is needed now, not words.
Gun control creates victims ... ,
ask Stalin , Hitler , .. and Emmanuel
“Gun Control” Bloomburg surrounds himself with firearms
but he doesn’t want you to be able to protect yourself
Native Americans Gun control created the FEMA camps of 1876
Automatic reloading rifles conquered the West,
that’s why Commies and Liberals live in the EAST
Liberals = killing the Constitution one amendment at a time
That has always been a good one The Oppressives dont seem to have a good answer to it aside from the implication that they are willing to sacrifice some people to their collectivist Gods.
They cant actually come out and say it but they are perfectly willing to sacrifice your safety for their power.
Not sure how to form that into a compact phrase though.
BTW, I like your tag line.
Did you hear that Wal-Mart didnt meet with our dear rulers out of a scheduling conflict maybe they are seeing the handwriting on the wal.
When I was in New York City last fall, I turned on the TV stations to see the respective Democratic and Republican conventions .
As many as 11 stations on cable TV carried the full Democratic convention , and at one time as many as 16 channels had the Dem convention.
Only 1 channel (Foxnews , I believe )carried the Republican Convention for three hours .
My host said that I could watch any channel , other than Fox ( that says a lot about my host ).
Simply stated , the political message didn’t get out to the underinformed , or the independant voter .
We need a Conservative voice in the television broadcast media to get the message out . Anything short of that , and we will get what we got in the last election.
Have you ever written a letter to a congresscritter? If you haven't then I can already tell to you the response that you will get:
You'll get a form letter that will state, more or less, "We appreciate your concern over ( fill in the blank ). Please fill out the enclosed form so that you can donate to my next election."
“(Adjusts tin foil hat)”
Tin foil hats actually enhance mind-control capability! They work like antennas! :-)
Is that blog yours?
Sparkling prose there:
“The next time some cliche-ridden boob says to you, perception is reality, know that they are a metaphysically retarded son or daughter of Kant.”
“...if your only tool is a rhetorical hammer, you will treat everything as an ideological nail.”
Thanks for the lead!
spank
Example:
Assault weapons are made for killing many people.
Response: Is that why the police have them? To kill many people?
You print that and liberals only see "Guns Kill."
Tax cuts = Tax cuts for rich.
Low Information Establishment voters are not easy to reach. We need to tell the LIE voters the truth.
Bingo! I have been totally News free since November 1st. I switched through that channels the other night and saw Hannity was on, but it was a rerun or at leas it looked like one.
If they say anything important (highly unlikely) it will be posted here or I won't know about it.
No, it isn’t my blog, it’s one of my favorites, though.
You’re welcome! :)
Yes, were boned if we cant compete with the BSM.
I have written to my statehouse rep. and senator, and to my U.S. Congress rep. and senators.
Anywhere and everywhere that you can do anything, particularly in some letter, does matter. All and any practices in defense of our liberty, including your presence, matters.
The leftists are relying upon the same processes they used to discourage people during the elections, to discourage people now.
It's *hard* to write well. I've spent hours into the night, many days of each week, studying up on important historical details about the construction of the Second Amendment - how it was formed, step by step - and finally managed to write letters that I believe concisely incorporate the basics of the Amendment's construction and purpose, in addition to getting across our determination to not give up our rights.
Most of us are a bit stunned by the arrogance and intimidation --- the belittling attacks --- from the leftists, in debate. Conservatives are too often stumped by the left, and the left *relies upon that - they expect it.* Resist them, as they try to rack up points - make them not feel so great about their assault on liberty.
You may retreat a little, but then turning about and expressing yourself well ... then, the overly-self-important egos of the left *are affected by that.* Help their knees to go wobbly.
Even if all you write is:
Explanations are plentiful throughout history, Why the people must retain a balance of military power un-infringed by government. You'd be right, by suggesting that General Washington would insist that such power be responsibly handled, and it is, by the organized militia, in addition to the many tens of millions of Americans, individuals who also do their duty to practice safe weapons handling, maintenance, and storage.Yet now comes government, hysterically - repeat *that* - insisting that many tens of million of law-abiding Americans are at fault ... when in fact we are not at fault for what happened in Newtown. The last government to assert that fault lay with, and blamed tens of millions of people, continued with gun control programs that allowed what is inherently a wrong about the nature of government, to destroy a million times Newtown.
I respectfully request that you do what you can to get the national government to step back from the abyss and instead have the state goverrnment focus upon the problem of defending schools, before some foreign agent figures out the meaning of gun-free zones.
Then please do so; and send it to *all* your elected officials at your statehouse and in the Congress.
Thank you.
Jim Crow was for gun control, too.
I have a suggestion for getting it all down to six words:
George Washington disagreed with gun control.
