Sen. Ted Cruz says Barack Obama is acting like an imperial president and must think he can do nothing wrong, given his adversarial push to have Congress accept Chuck Hagel as his new defense secretary and extend the nations debt limit without a fight.
Cruz, however, indicated he was more concerned about Obamas determined effort to avoid a fight with Congress on the debt limit, which could mean a move to invoke the 14th Amendments provision on the public debt and simply tell the Treasury to ignore the debt ceiling.

"I won the election."
[Barack Obama is acting like an imperial president]
He isn’t acting.
He’s been doing this since his Emaculation! The Republicans enable him to do this by refusing to stand up to the guy. They back down EVERY time bully Obama demands something

That picture of the punk makes me ill. The WH is now no different than a crack house.
I am so proud of voting for Cruz. He is off to an outstanding start.
If Ted keeps talking like that: (A) he will become president, (B) he will suffer a horrible heart attack and die suddenly, (C) be audited by the IRS, or (D) C, then B
This is why moderates and the establishment work so hard to defeat conservatives. Because they don’t toe the mealy-mouthed party line. Would David Dewherst EVER make a comment like this?? Would Scott Brown? Richard Lugar? Lisa Murkowski? Mark Kirk? Or for that matter, John Boehner or Mitch McConnell?? I know Newt Gingrich would.
Although I don’t know/haven’t read a great deal about him, everything I HAVE read is wonderful!
Congrats!
I think I may have a man-crush!
On a serious note, Cruz is a prime time player, given his experience and resume, he’s the guy to lead out front in the Senate. Even though he is new, I would love to see this guy get into leadership quickly. He’s a seasoned pro in DC, and ready for action.
He is off to a great start, but I am astonished that he seems to be alone.
Where are the rest?
This is what Boehner should be doing, this is where the Speaker should be leading his Republican party, Yet this man stands alone.
Why is holding out on the debt limit any better strategy than just refusing to send the Senate the CR that O demands?
Is it because holding out on the debt limit is thought to be more popular and gain more support?
Or is it because the first is thought to get a deal from O even though he claims he wont negotiate?
Canada is a hell of a lot more like America than kenya, and since de 0berFuhrer emperor 0bama and his minions apparently have decided that The Constitution no longer applies, let's don't be too hasty.
Me too!
Cruz opened the door and started kickinass with both feet.
Unlucky for us, Cruz was born in Canada to Cuban immigrants.
Do we conservatives now want to ignore the Constitution like the lib/dems? I don’t think so.
I really don’t either, but perhaps if we could spark a backlash among the dims, then Hussein would have some big explaining to do.
