A full size 1911 in .45 is not at all hard to carry all day..

I love .45 but I live in South Texas where it is hot and humid. Uniform of the day is shorts, T-shirts and flip flops 9 mos out of the year.

I do admit to wearing jeans, socks and shoes several days out of the year, however.

I feel most comfortable with front pocket, cargo pocket or rear pocket carry.

Nothing over 16 oz. or it really feels like my shorts are about to hit the floor before I give the command.

Austin is similar (but granted not as bad...)
Being prone to melanoma I've gotten used to light, high-SPF, high-tech (moisture-wicking) pants, a tee with an open long sleeve shirt made of the same stuff as the pants - which conveniently serves as a cover garment.

(shrug) Works for me.
