>> She is beautiful, but I’d be surprised if beauty is her only redeeming quality.

I would too.

On the other hand, the teevee camera doesn’t image intelligence waves, or character waves, or personality waves, or any other kind of waves besides light waves.

So Musberger was kind of limited to commenting on what he actually *saw*.

Please tell me: is it permissible to comment on one value without also mentioning all other possible values? Or no?

Sure, it’s permissible, but in this particular instance, I just felt sorry for the girl. It came across as creepy to me.

I’m an avid college football fan, so I’m quite used to Musburger. I’m not sure what it was, but THIS time I was uncomfortable when Musburger spoke about the girl’s appearance. It reminded me of creepy Chris Matthews (in a weird sort of way) with his fascination for Obama.

I don’t think I’m usually offended when men notice pretty women. My husband has eyes, and I don’t mind him admiring beautiful women most of the time.

Musburger was different this time...at least it came across that way to me. Sorry if I disagree with others here. It’s not earth-shattering news. Any chance we can agree to hold different opinions on this instance?
