The media was reporting what the witnesses were saying. Either the witnesses lied or the authorities lied.

Why, given a large volume of evidence of distortions and outright lies told by media persons, without any evidence whatsoever to back up their claims, would anyone assume either the witnesses lied or the authorities lied? Why can’t it be that the media made up “facts” and reported what helped their agenda?

“The media was reporting what the witnesses were saying. Either the witnesses lied or the authorities lied.”

Or it could just be that 24 hour news outlets are all competing in real time to cover a story and fill up air time, and generally just talk all sorts of unverified nonsense. Remember hurricane Katrina, and how they assured us there were cannibalistic rape gangs in the Superdome? Or how the Colorado theater shooter was wearing a “bullet proof vest”, which the lefties still insist on repeating?

These guys at CNN, FOX, MSNBC are on the air, ready to say anything to keep people tuned in. I think every rumor gets funneled through 10 people on the way up to Shep Smith, and like a game of “telephone”, the details get mangled.
