If an elk roast was not served or was wasted, that’s a damn shame, IMO!!
It appears no official report was made, and an off-duty
officer was called to come retrieve the elk for butchering.
They are still investigating.
The elk was known locally as “Big-Boy”, and normally roamed the area from what I understand.
