WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama's public swearing-in ceremony on Jan. 21 is prompting a different kind of oath within the capital's tourism industry, as the prospect of disappointing attendance threatens to dent spending on all manner of travel goods and services, from luxury hotel suites to servings of the president's favorite chili.
Mr. Obama's 2009 inauguration drew an estimated 1.8 million people to Washington, more than any other gathering on the National Mall, according to officials at Destination D.C., the city's main tourism and convention marketer. This week, D.C. transportation and tourism officials said they expected turnout to be less than half that, at 600,000 to 800,000.

From what I heard his swearing in is going to be done in private and that he is going to swear on the Koran. I doubt this is true but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
I get a kick out of how some people blame young voters, too funny, everyone of those a**clowns that are in power are boomers: Odumba, Stretch Pelosi, Harry dingle Reid, Biden the groper, I could go on. The boomer generation and the one before it spent decades infiltrating the schools and allowing illegals to work on the cheap, so spare me, if anything, the previous generation pilfered the nation, also, the seeds of hatred the hippies had for their parents and their nation are bearing fruit, the boomers are in power, not gen x nor gen y!

Well, the boomers put them in, if I recall the boomers were smoking pot and hating their nation at Woodstock singing and embracing debauchery and Communism, whether boomers like it or not, they are the ones with the reins of power not gen x nor gen y, if anything they have been indoctrinated by the government schools to hate both God and country, boomers are the leadership, they are the ones in powerful positions in government, the private sector, and the entertainment industry.

Gen X just began to vote in 1983 (at age 18)!
I don’t think we can really blame the generations because it was the Washington elites of both parties who decided who got to run for national seats (except for maybe Biden).
If anything, that would mean the “Greatest Generation” did it to us! They certainly held the Judiciary.

You’re entitled to you own opinions but not your own facts. By factor of 2 to 1, young people voted for Obama. They are ignorant.
