Personally, I admire the old custom the south used to have of giving only initials to the boys name. Such as J.D. for instance. I went to school with 3 guys named J.D. and I lived in a small population area. Two were named J.D. and the third guys parents used a little imagination and called him Jay D. One guy in the army I knew as named R.B. Jones. To clarify this to Army people who took care of Personnel problems, they kept asking him for his full name, he filled out a form with his name and put R.(only) B.(only) Jones. Sure enough when we got our orders to move to our second eight weeks of training he was listed on the orders as Ronly Bonly Jones.

Ahhh, the military(read that as government)mind, it works so well.

I bet I have known a dozen “Andy Andersons” and a half dozen “Dusty Rhoads”.
