Chesterfield County, VA had Cloverleaf Mall, a nice big mall for many years. It declined due to the clientele, was shut down and the County bought it. After sitting on if for several years, they knocked it down and a new mega Kroger and other shops are going up. There is a police substation in the Kroger and they will escort you to your car upon request. It’s within spitting distance of Richmond city limits.

Just being a S/A with a rhetorical question,

Wonder how many people will demand the Police escort them to their car but would balk at the presence of an Armed Presence in the Schools?

I went to that Kroger the morning it opened...as I walked my buggie to the car two Chesterfield County police officers ran past me and blew out of the lot in their squad cars. Who knows...it is my hope that the civilized man can reclaim this part of the county but the societal incentives are against it.
