I hope you are right.
1. I have a legal and moral obligation, having sworn an oath administered by this very government, to defend the Constitution as it is written.
2. I've put my life on the line in foreign countries, for people who had nothing in common with me and weren't my countrymen, in the name of freedom. What kind of man would I be to then turn away from my brothers and countrymen when their own freedom is challenged?
3. I've got nothing to lose. I would rather perish than serve a government master. If I die in that cause, I have served my countrymen instead. Win/win.
