The Left Shows Its True, Violent Colors

It isn’t entirely true that, as Lord Acton said, “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” It’s often the case that power simply allows people the luxury of lowering façades and showing their true colors.

A good example is the recent behavior of many on the Left. Commentator Donald Kaul just wrote that he had no problem with guns being pried from their owners’ “cold, dead hands” and that Republican leaders should be dragged around a parking lot with a pick-up truck. A European college professor recommended the execution of “Climate Change Deniers” and the Pope. Closer to home, an American academic called for NRA president Wayne LaPierre’s “head on a stick” in some profanity laden tweets. And then there was voice of moderation Harry Belafonte; he didn’t ask for blood — only that Barack Obama arrest political opponents (prompting me to spoof a song in his honor).

Ah, it’s a long way from Woodstock and peace and love, isn’t it?

You might not expect such hostility, with Barack Obama’s reelection and the liberal dominance of our culture; you might think the leftists would be satisfied with their many legislative wins and be busy planning political strategy. Think again. As I wrote recently, with liberals’ victory in the culture war — and it is over — they’re now embarking upon something else: a pacification effort.

This is a Civil War no a revolution. The splintered states do not want to take over FedGov they want to form their own National Government.

This week alone, i have read how the NRA and it’s members should be declared a terror organization, that GOP leadership should be dragged behind trucks, that those who oppose Obama should be arrested, that the constitution should be suspended or ignored completely, and that all gun owners should be publicly exposed because they are similar to child molesters.

The idiots of the left who are calling for violent revolution will be the first ones eaten if their wishes come true.

Sure they will. They have done it many times before throughout history. And every time they do, more of them die than kill.

Please elaborate on this "history" of yours. More Kulaks died than Russians. More Armenians died than Turks. More Cambodian citizens died than communists. Same in China. How about all those NAZIs the Jews killed?

The murderous history of the left belies their real intentions: a "safe" income in a hierarchy of forced servitude. They may be cowards, but their globalist masters are another matter. There is no end to which they will sink, and they don't care how many of their slaves bite it in the process. If it looks like things are going bad, look for smallpox and forced starvation.

If you think ANYBODY is going to be able to grow a substantial amount of food without diesel, I've got bad news for you. This is not about a will to fight; it's about preparation, hidden stores, and a bulletproof communications architecture. Please don't tell me that conservatives are ready for a multi-year battle like that. I just don't buy it.

I doubt there’s anyone courageous enough on the left to try and do any of what they’re suggesting, certainly not the columnists. They’re nothing but pansies with big mouths who’d scream bloody murder if their addresses were published.
