We can learn a thing or two from the left. They are masters of political Jiu-Jitsu - they can take an attack and turn it to their advantage.
Some 2nd amendment group, or a coalition of them should call a press conference to publicly thank the paper for doing this. And demonstrating why we are so afraid of gun registration and why we are so unalterably opposed to it.
And then read off the names and phone numbers of the people at the paper to call and write with our thanks.
Just two sentences of this article belong to you Katie. Pretty lazy if you ask me. Does Townhall pay you for this?
Already done. Everything, and lots more, you need to do that is right here:

Mr. Fountain's blog is a large part of why the Journal-News had to hire security guards at the newspaper. I'm sure the bigwigs got personal guards as well.
I know where Janet Hasson lives, right near the Winged Foot Golf and Country Club, one of the “old money” parts of Westchester Co.
I know. That was a good start. Not nearly enough though. Notice how the left took that and used it to make gun owners look bad.
Knowing when ‘mom and dad’ work ( armed with addresses - thanks to the effing "Journal") can give criminals access to the kids. Lowlife's understand ‘getting even’... it's a trait they seem to share with members of the MSM..
What the heck are you talking about?
When I lived in NY back in 1986 or so, and was looking into bringing a couple of handguns into the state (Westchester Co, actually), I was told that there were 3 sorts of permits issued for handguns. There was concealed carry, but those were very rarely issued unless you had specific needs or great connections. The second was a "target permit," which allowed the handgun to be transported, unloaded and in a locked case, to a shooting range, or a residence permit, where once the handgun is at the home or business, it had to stay there.
I'm not positive about the names, but while I had a buddy with an FFL in MO who could ship the handguns to an FFL holder in NY, when I went to the sporting goods store (Hermans?) at Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers and was given this information, making me give up on it.

Thank God I’ve lived in more sane states like Alaska and Texas.
Thanks for the info. Just another reason to live in places where the individual is respected more than the government.
Cheers
OK, hypothetical here, what if the fed pops out an outrageous gun control bill, amounting to confiscation. What do you think the leadership in Texas, Alaska, etc. do? For example, will they refuse enforcement? Arrest federales? Will they trot out talk of secession? Will they mean it? Or do you think that as a class they will collectively cave and leave the dirty work to us “hobbits?” Just curious, since you’ve lived there.
But, ah, Mr. Fossil. I am a gun owner (.357 magnum). Bought it for home protection after being robbed. But I’m in California and the authorities here take a very dim view of any civilian carrying. So it stays locked up at home when I go out.
I don't think there is a chance they would go along with any type of confiscations. If the sale of type is banned, they would likely follow that.
