Eleventh Hour: Speaker Boehner Moves to the Right(Will "Weepy" "Survive"?)
Breitbart ^ | 3 Jan 2013 | by Matthew Boyle

The Speaker of the House will be elected today and some conservatives believe they have the votes necessary to oust John Boehner. In an appearance on CNBC, American Majority Action spokesman Ron Meyer said there are more than 20 House Republicans willing to vote for someone other than Boehner on Thursday when the 113th Congress convenes to elect a Speaker. Another source from a different organization has similarly confirmed that more than 20 have planned to oppose Boehner.

We also need someone with substance and not bluster.

Gov. Chris Christi was a first class SUCKER. Obama played him like a marionette. Now Chrisi just pisses and moans over HIS OWN failure. IOW he chose badly.

At this level we need a person who can walk the walk not just talk the talk. (BTW telling Reid to go copulate with himself was a nice start regardless)

He’s a conservative for 2 days a year when there is a vote on him coming.

I hope nobody is fooled by this.

“Maybe he should try for dogcatcher”.
West would be an excellent choice and would be great for our country. His brass ones are big enough to call out the socialists & at the least try to stem the tide against our us.
Boner has to go.

You do realize that the House Speaker does not have to be a sitting congressman or even an elected member of that body, right?

Yes, I have read Article 1, Section 2.

You do realize that your Freeper campaign to whip up support for the defeated Allen West borders on "The Crazy" - right? Not only has no non-member of Congress ever been elected Speaker, but if you think a member who was defeated 2 months ago is going to be elected to the position, bless your heart.

Eleventh Hour: Speaker Boehner Claims He Moves to the Right

There, fixed it. If Boehner really moved to the right, he would be telling Obama right now that there will be no increase in the debt ceiling for 2013.

I have come to loathe him. The same for the pubbie party. Just got a fund-raising letter from the MI pubbie party.

Wrote them a note of non-support and put it in the postage-paid envelope.

A pox on all their houses.

"South Carolina, what's up?"

Hmmm. Not sure how I'm going to take that picture...

But thanks for pointing me to IDIOCRACY. Fox has removed rights to video clips but I'm going to dig into this to see if I've been insulted or not.

I think some Democrats will vote for Boehner if it goes to a second ballot.

ALL PELOSI HAS TO DO IS RELEASE 20 DEMOCRAPS TO VOTE FOR HIM!!!!!

This is no joke. We are cursed in Texas with a state Speaker, Joe Straus, who stays in power in just this way.

He’s actually better for rats than pelosi

You got that right. After four years in power, Pelosi was unable to raise either the top income bracket rate or the capital gains tax rate. Yet Boehner got them both raised after only two years.

I prefer West over any sitting member, period.

I don’t much care what you think of my choice, sweetie.

Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution only provides that the House choose a Speaker, it does not specify that the Speaker must be a member of the House (though all have been).
