India will pay billions of dollars in social welfare money directly to its poor under a new program that aims to cut out the middlemen blamed for the massive fraud that plagues the system.
Previously, officials only handed out cash to the poor after taking a cutif they didn't keep all of it for themselvesand were known to enroll fake recipients or register unqualified people. The program inaugurated Tuesday would see welfare money directly deposited into recipients bank accounts and require them to prove their identity with biometric data, such as fingerprints or retina scans.
The program is loosely based on Brazils widely praised Bolsa Familia program, which has helped lift more than 19 million people out of poverty since 2003. It will begin in 20 of the countrys 640 districts Tuesday, affecting more than 200,000 recipients, and will be progressively rolled out in other areas in the coming months, (Finance Minister P.) Chidambaram said Monday. The country has 440 million people living below the poverty line.

***Or a chip implant, coming soon.
India is in the process of creating a biometric database (iris scans) for all 1.3 billion of its citizens.
666 prototype.
We all want voter ID. I see nothing wrong with what India is doing to guarantee that taxpayers money is not being stolen.
But never, ever, ever for voting!
That’s nothing, our welfare payments originate in China.
The process to convert the sweat of communist economic slaves into Pall Malls and Air Jordans for democratic voters is more circuitous one than even Little Lord Krugman could describe with a bottomless pot of ink.
666 or 999 doesn’t mean anything to Indians. It’s just a number.

I agree 100%. Something akin to this should also be instituted for voter ID in the US to counter the rampant vote fraud the Democrats wage—increasingly successfully. If “backward” countries such as Mexico and India can do biometrics to prevent fraud, surely the US could. And I would defy any liberal to attempt to claim that their precious “disadvantaged” don’t have biometric markers and thus any such biometric scheme would be voter suppression.
And as a bible believing Christian, I say that anyone claiming that this would represent the “mark of the beast” is either being silly or is a troll for the Democratic Underground.
Previously, officials only handed out cash to the poor after taking a cutif they didn’t keep all of it for themselvesand were known to enroll fake recipients or register unqualified people.
The Democrats do the same thing in the good old USA.
If you’re going to say that, then it’d be helpful to include what you believe the mark would be.
And a handle referencing Dune and its version of Islam?
“Oh, of course. Satan quashes the Gospel wherever he can.”
That sounds like Satan is more omnipotent then God. Not sure Satan is squashing anything, Indians just follow a different path.
India for a long time barely had any form of photo identification for most of her people. And if people give up on welfare to stay away from 999 that’s fine too. Although I am yet to see anyone in US give up on welfare for fear of Satan.
If youre going to say that, then itd be helpful to include what you believe the mark would be.

“...include what you believe the mark would be” Well, it sure wouldn’t be any biometric markers that have been imprinted upon me by God (e.g., fingerprints, retina patterns) and his nature. I see nothing wrong with my identity being positively confirmed by such god given markers which are unique to each individual person.
As to your 2nd paranoid illusion/question—I can assure you that I am neither from the fictional desert planet Arrakis nor am I a muslim.
We are all minorities here. And that’s a good thing. I don’t accept or reject the Gospel. I believe what I believe and that my private thing. I m happy with my belief and you be happy with yours and we are fine.
And I don’t believe Satan rules the world but to each his/ her own.
So you don’t know what it is.
And that was a little bit defensive over the handle. After all, the character my handle is derived from would (within the context of the fictional world of his origin) worship the Great Eye . . . (and I myself am Christian)
