Hannity is first and foremost a Republican. He has to carry the banner for the party, no matter what. People get weary of that after a while. He will rebound because people also like to oppose the current government which is 2/3rds controlled by the Democratic Party.
I thought he described himself as (dah...dah...da dum) an Independent and was registered as one.
